What do you get when you cross a Classic Rock Guitarist and a Software Engineer?!

It's not exactly the most orthodox combo but it seems to work... Hello, I'm Anthony!

Thank you so much for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy the content as much I did creating it.

In short, I'm part Software Engineer and part Musician. If my experiences have taught me anything, it's that the two aren't mutually exclusive. My love for both runs deep, but I take it you're here for the music... so let's stick to that. Feel free to check out my other site for the tech.

Marshall

I'm an American "Jersey Boy" who officially got his start back in 2007 (but I began playing guitar, singing and songwriting long before that). I got my first guitar for my 11th birthday and it didn't take long to get hooked. Growing up in Madison, New Jersey, I had the great privelage of studying classical guitar with Prof. Christopher Paglia of the Manhattan School of Music and Prof. Michael Silvestri of Rutgers University. But like most teenagers, I was more interested in rock, blues and pop. Some of my best times were spent playing in my first band, Black Sheep, with my old neighborhood buddies. We wrote and released our first EP while still in high school and frequently performed what we thought was a "hit" single called "High School Loser" at various school functions. But you can only be a rockstar living out of your parent's house for so long...

Court Tavern

My journey officially began in college with my band, Circus Animal. We were a rock trio out of New Brunswick, NJ which is where I met good friend and drummer, Matt Suydam. My best bud from high school, Tom Paddack (Close the Circle), rounded out the group on bass and backing vocals (of course my best friend is a musician). We released 2 EP's together and played throughout Northern NJ making regular appearances at New Brunswick's Court Tavern (Diamond Number 1!). Dez Cadena (Black Flag, The Misfits) heard us play a set once and said, "It reminds me of The Groundhogs with AC/DC thrown in". We'll take it!

Running Late

Shortly after graduating from Rutgers University, I joined the alternative rock band, Running Late as co-songwriter, lead guitarist and backing vocalist. Things began to heat up for the project shortly after joining. We interviewed with the A&R Department at Sony Music's HQ in NYC that Winter. Although nothing materialized from the interview, it did put the band "on the map" throughout the tri-state area. That summer, we played as direct support for Creedence Clearwater Revisited at "Alive at 5" in Stamford, CT. This still personally remains my favorite show! It was an absolute pleasure to play downtown in the city and talk music with Doug Clifford and Stu Cook at the hotel. We were also billed with MGMT at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA and The Smithereens at Black Potatoe Festival in Clinton, NJ. We closed out the summer opening for Third Eye Blind at NJ's legendary Stone Pony.

Circus Animal

The next year, we released our first full-length LP and picked up where we left off with a television appearance at Time Warner Studios in Staten Island, NY. We returned to the Stone Pony once again, this time to open for Eve 6 and Everclear. To close out the year, we supported Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, Gin Blossoms, Fastball and Vertical Horizon during their NJ stop of the "Under the Sun" tour.

Hiro Ballroom

The next year, I took a "leap of faith" and began my solo career upon signing a production contract with “Platinum Record” winning sound engineer and producer, Nayan Lassiter (Kanye West, Robbie Williams, New Kids on the Block). My self-titled EP was released later that year featuring new original material and another rendition of my "personal favorite" Circus Animal song, "Stardom Passerby". I was fortunate to have a few "heavy weight" drummers sign onto the project. Van Romaine (Enrique Iglesias, Nena) laid down drums on "Stardom Passerby", Rocky Bryant (Daryl Hall, Cyndi Lauper) on "State of Mind", and Victor Jones (Sly Temaf) on "Lay Me Down" and "Best of Me".

Shortly after the EP's release, I made the decision to move to Berlin, Germany to be with my now fiancé. This year, I took another "leap of faith" and released my 2nd Solo EP doing most of the production myself with Kyle Cadena (Bernie Worrell, Jimmy Destri) lending a considerable "helping hand" with mastering and engineering. I look forward to promoting the new material in Europe! Up next will be my first live record!
